YUKI & DAUGHTERS was founded in 2005 by Yuki Matsuo as an imaginary grocer that creates incredibly delicious inedible foods. Based in Fukuoka, Japan, after 20 years abroad, Yuki makes everything from scratch with her own hands, served with a touch of humor. Selected handmade sausages and delicatessen items are available in store. Unlike real food, these last forever.

I bought this inedible baguette as a quirky gift, and it’s surprisingly well-made. The polyester stuffing feels durable, and the dimensions (48.3 x 7.6 x 5.8 cm) make it a perfect table centerpiece. While it reminded me of Glenn Close’s eccentric characters with its dramatic presentation, it’s worth the price for its uniqueness.
