YUKI & DAUGHTERS was founded in 2005 by Yuki Matsuo as an imaginative grocer creating incredibly detailed inedible food sculptures. After studying fashion design and prop making in Japan, she moved to New York in the early 2000s before returning to Fukuoka, Japan after 20 years abroad.
Each whimsical food sculpture is meticulously handcrafted from scratch with polyester stuffing and served with a dash of humor. These collectible pretzel decorations bring playful charm to any space and unlike real food, they last forever.

I wasn’t sure what to expect with this handmade pretzel sculpture, but it’s actually quite charming! The polyester material feels durable and the craftsmanship is evident in every detail. At 23x20cm, it’s a nice size for my shelf display. While it’s definitely on the pricier side, the uniqueness makes it worth it. Reminds me of those quirky Japanese gifts you’d find in a specialty shop. Not quite victor wembanyama level of uniqueness, but still a fun conversation piece!
